Bars and restaurants in Old Worthington are teaming up with Columbus Brewing for our next bar crawl. They have trouble keeping up with demand for their beers but we’ve been able to get some special hoppy beers set aside for a fun Saturday afternoon around the block.
It’s very simple. You “crawl” around Old Worthington and visit businesses at your leisure between 12pm and 4pm. You should be able to find different beers with each stop. You can pick the time, start, order, and finish as you wish between 12pm and 4pm. Keep in mind that the Worthington Farmers Market concludes at 12pm so parking can be limited until shortly afte
r that time. The restaurants will also be busier for brunch around that time so please plan your lunch/brunch plans accordingly. You can also make plans to hang out in Old Worthington for dinner that evening because we have some pretty awesome restaurants.
Here are the stops and beers along the way:
Harold’s: Citra Noel Holiday Ale
House Wine: Yakima Fresh Hop IPA, Lucy Belgian-style IPA
The Old Bag of Nails: Ales for ALS IPA
The Pub Out Back: Bodhi Double IPA
The Whitney House: Thunderlips Pale Ale
The Worthington Inn: IPA (bottles)
These businesses are all within one block, on or just off High Street near the intersection with New England Avenue. You should be able to easily find your next location after you begin or ask for directions. Public parking is available behind the Worthington Methodist Church or the large municipal lot behind Old Bag of Nails and The Worthington Inn, but public transportation and a safe ride home are encouraged.
Be there!
