Some of your favorite spots in Old Worthington are combining forces with Rhinegeist and Seventh Son for a Saturday afternoon beer crawl. It’s very simple. You “crawl” around Old Worthington and visit the businesses below at your leisure between 12pm and 4pm and enjoy beers from the two breweries. If you’re hungry, get brunch along the way (reservations might be necessary for some restaurants if offered). You should be able to find different beers with each stop. You can pick the time, start, order, and finish as you wish.
The DORA (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area) will be in effect until 4pm so you can get your beer (or any other adult beverages) in a plastic cup at most of the businesses and take it around with you on the block. There will also be some adult board games and more in the House Wine parking lot. We encourage you to find the Old Worthington Partnership tent at Market Day where you can find a bingo card that will let you know what some of our small businesses are offering that day in addition to this event.
We will let you know which beers will be featured at each location as we get closer to the event and find out what’s available from these breweries that you might not normally see (the advantage of our small businesses). Here are the participating bars and restaurants:
House Wine
Old Bag of Nails
The Half Pint
The Pub Out Back
The Whitney House
The Worthington Inn
These businesses are all within one block, on or just off High Street near the intersection with New England Avenue. You should be able to easily find your next location after you begin or ask for directions. Parking in the area will be limited due to the Worthington Chamber’s Market Day event. High Street and some adjacent streets will be closed. Public transportation and a safe ride home are encouraged. There is also parking at Thomas Worthington High School with shuttles to and from Old Worthington.
It should be a fun afternoon of beers and cheers in Old Worthington!
